“The Kardashians,” US media personality and businesswoman Kris Jenner shared her plans to undergo surgery to have her ovaries removed. The decision comes after doctors discovered a cyst and a tumor during a recent scan.
Jenner broke the news to her daughters, Kendall, Kim, and Khloé Kardashian, while on vacation in Aspen, Colorado, with her partner Corey Gamble. Fighting back tears, she explained, “I wanted to tell you guys something because I hadn’t told you yet, but I went to the doctor and I had my scan. And this just makes me really emotional, but… they found a cyst and like a little tumour on my ovary.”
The procedure, according to Jenner, is a significant milestone in her life, symbolizing the closure of a chapter. “It’s also a thing about getting older,” she said. “It’s a sign of ‘we’re done with this part of your life.’ It’s a whole chapter that’s just closed.”
Jenner’s daughters offered emotional support and understanding, acknowledging the significance of the surgery. Kim Kardashian empathized, “To have a surgery and remove your ovaries is a really big deal. I feel really sad for her.” Kourtney Kardashian added, “It’s like your womanly power… I would feel this sentimental feeling of what it’s created.” Kendall Jenner offered a more pragmatic perspective, “But at the same time, what are we going to use those for anymore? If they’re potentially hurting you, let’s get them out of there.”
Throughout the emotional conversation, Jenner emphasized her pride in her family, considering her role as a mother her greatest achievement. “People often ask me what is the best job you’ve ever had, and I always say mom,” she said. “The biggest blessing in my life was being able to give birth to six beautiful kids.”
