The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has dissociated itself from a group calling itself the “Concerned NSS Personnel Association of Ghana” (CONSAG), which has declared a strike for National Service Personnel.
NASPA emphasized that it is the official representative body for all National Service personnel in Ghana and has not declared any strike. In a press release, NASPA urged the public to disregard the statement from CONSAG, as they are not a recognized organization.
NASPA is actively engaged with the National Service Scheme (NSS) management to address the recent delays in allowance payments. The association assured personnel that allowances for April 2024 have been processed and paid and will reflect in accounts by Friday, July 5, 2024.
Additionally, NASPA announced that allowances for May 2024 will be paid next week, by Friday, July 12, 2024. NASPA reiterated its commitment to the well-being of National Service Personnel and is working diligently with management to prevent future delays and ensure timely reflection of allowances in e-zwich accounts.
The association appreciated the patience and understanding of personnel during this time and urged them to remain calm and continue their valuable service to the nation. NASPA assured personnel that it is actively addressing their concerns for a smooth and supported National Service experience. By clarifying the situation and providing updates on allowance payments, NASPA aims to maintain transparency and trust with its members.
