Djokovic Makes Winning Return At Wimbledon After Knee Surgery

Novak Djokovic cruised to victory in his first match since knee surgery, reaching the second round at Wimbledon.
The 37-year-old Serb, aiming to tie Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon titles, dominated qualifier Vit Kopriva 6-1, 6-2, 6-2.
Despite wearing a knee brace, Djokovic displayed no discomfort. He broke Kopriva’s serve six times throughout the match, showcasing his trademark defense-turned-offense style.
“I’m incredibly happy with how I felt and played,” Djokovic said in his post-match interview. “My focus was on the game, not my knee. I put in a lot of work with my team over the last few weeks to be here today. For most tournaments, I wouldn’t have rushed back, but Wimbledon is special.”
Djokovic will next face British wildcard Jacob Fearnley.
