CCTI Students Engage in Violent Retaliatory Attack
- CCTI students allegedly assault SHS student in retaliatory attack
- Initial attack by SHS students on CCTI female student and fresher sparked tensions
- School authorities and police to investigate and take appropriate action
A disturbing incident of violence has erupted between students of the Cape Coast Technical Institute (CCTI) and a Senior High School (SHS) student, resulting in allegations of assault and retaliation.
According to reports, a group of CCTI students allegedly manhandled an SHS student, forcing him to roll inside a gutter, in what appears to be a retaliatory attack. This incident follows an initial altercation in which the SHS student, along with approximately eight others, allegedly attacked a female CCTI student using scissors and also beat a fresher from CCTI, escalating tensions between the two groups.
In response to the initial attack, CCTI students held the SHS student captive and forced the fresher to retaliate with slaps and punches. A viral video captured onlookers intervening to de-escalate the situation and free the victim.
School authorities and local law enforcement are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident to ensure appropriate actions are taken against those involved and to prevent future occurrences of such violence.
The exact circumstances and extent of the incident are still being investigated, but the incident has raised concerns about student safety and the need for increased vigilance to prevent similar incidents in the future.
