The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, has denied allegations of misusing party funds for a lavish trip to Miami with his wife. Gyamfi described the reports as “ridiculous and purely nonsensical” in an interview on Adom TV.
He provided details of his whereabouts during the alleged period, including attending funerals and hosting events for the party. Gyamfi explained that the video circulating online is likely from a past trip to Miami, not a recent one.
He expressed frustration at the false information being spread and threatened legal action against those responsible. Gyamfi listed his activities during the alleged period, including attending a funeral on Saturday, a regional organizer’s mother’s funeral on Sunday, hosting NDC 360 on Wednesday, and appearing in court with Dr. Ato Forson on Thursday.
He questioned when he would have had time to travel to Miami and receive $42,000 from the party. Gyamfi clarified that he has been to Miami a few times, including with his wife, but the video is from an old trip.
He accused “unemployed NPP foot soldiers” of circulating the video and threatened to take legal action against those responsible. Gyamfi emphasized that he will not let the false allegations pass and will settle the matter in court.
