Aston Villa have announced the signings of Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea from Juventus in a deal worth €22 million (£18.6 million).

Young Talent Joins the Ranks:

  • English forward Iling-Junior, 20, arrives for a fee of €14 million (£11.8 million) with a potential €3 million (£2.5 million) in add-ons.
  • Iling-Junior previously played for Chelsea’s academy before joining Juventus’ youth setup. He made his senior debut in May 2022 and has already featured for the England U21 team, scoring two goals in 45 appearances for Juventus.

Midfield Reinforcement:

  • Argentine midfielder Barrenechea, 23, joins for €8 million (£6.7 million) with the possibility of an additional €3 million in add-ons.
  • Barrenechea spent a season on loan at Frosinone during his two years with Juventus, gaining valuable Serie A experience.

These signings come a day after Aston Villa announced the departure of Douglas Luiz to Juventus for £42.35 million.

Villa have been busy in the transfer window, having already secured the signings of left-back Ian Maatsen from Chelsea for £35 million and striker Lewis Dobbin from Everton.
