Former Big Brother Naija contestant Daniella Peters has revealed a harrowing experience in which she narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt in Abuja.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Peters expressed gratitude for the public’s swift response to her distress call last Friday. She recounted booking a cab, growing suspicious of the driver’s behavior, and requesting him to stop. When he refused, she bravely jumped from the moving vehicle, sustaining injuries.
Peters confirmed that the driver has since admitted to the incident in a police statement and is currently receiving treatment for her injuries.
“I want to thank everyone who showed concern by commenting, calling, and tagging the necessary organizations to ensure this matter was handled urgently,” Peters said in a video message. “I’ve been to the police station and back to the hospital. I thank the police for handling this matter thoroughly. As we speak, the cab driver has confessed to everything I said. I’m now safe and recovering. God bless you all. Be safe.”
