Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja has opened up about her whirlwind romance with her husband, Ugo Nwoke, describing their love story as “short of a miracle”.
In an interview with Bella Naija, published on Thursday, Ooja revealed that her sister introduced her to Nwoke while she was recovering from a devastating heartbreak. Despite initial reservations, the pair connected deeply and their romance blossomed.
“My love story is one that I’ll say is short of a miracle,” Ooja said. “I had just recovered from what I considered the worst heartbreak of my life… and my sister had said to me a friend of hers wanted to speak to me.”
Ooja recalled how Nwoke persisted in reaching out to her, eventually winning her over with their three-hour conversation. “I travelled and realised that he hadn’t called me in like two days, I was like why didn’t you call me, and he was like you told me you were going to go out and have fun and I was like yeah, I’m single and he was like I didn’t want you to be single no more.”
The actress revealed that they dated for just two-and-a-half months before Nwoke proposed, and they tied the knot two months later. The couple is currently celebrating their traditional wedding in Abuja.
