Traders at Kejetia and Racecourse in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, have publicly expressed their support for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minister of Energy, as a potential candidate for the position of Vice President within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
During a press briefing in Kumasi, the traders highlighted Dr. Prempeh’s achievements, particularly his role in implementing the Free Senior High School policy during his tenure as Education Minister.
They emphasized his commitment to the party’s values and his dedication to public service, making him a strong candidate to bolster the NPP’s influence in the Ashanti Region.
