Stanbic Bank Ghana’s CEO, Kwamina Asomaning, has emphasized the vital role of financial institutions in promoting sustainability and responsible business practices in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch of Stanbic Investment Management Services’ (SIMS) Responsible Investment Initiative, Asomaning highlighted the importance of directing funds towards sustainable practices.
He noted that Stanbic Bank has implemented 79% of the Bank of Ghana’s Sustainable Banking Principles and aims to fully comply by June 2025.
Asomaning also announced that Stanbic Bank and SIMS are committed to leading responsible investing in the asset management industry, with a focus on climate-specific initiatives.
He urged individuals to prioritize sustainability and invest responsibly, emphasizing that collective actions can make a significant impact on the environment and the economy.
The Responsible Investment Initiative aims to enhance sustainability efforts in the industry by collaborating with issuers and investors.
