A staggering 21,000 children are believed to be missing in Gaza, according to a report by Save the Children.

The aid group says thousands of Palestinian children are likely trapped under rubble, in unmarked graves, or detained by Israeli forces.

The report notes that at least 17,000 children are unaccompanied and separated, with approximately 4,000 believed to be under rubble and an unknown number in mass graves.

The conflict in Gaza has killed over 14,000 children since October, with many more suffering from severe malnutrition.

Save the Children is calling for an independent investigation into the situation and for accountability.
