No Pressure Here: Paintsil Thriving At LA Galaxy

Story Highlights
  • Paintsil is proving himself a valuable asset
  • He recently joined the five-time MLS champions
  • He's not consumed by external expectations

Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil is proving himself a valuable asset for the LA Galaxy, all while staying remarkably cool under pressure.

The 26-year-old recently joined the five-time MLS champions from KRC Genk in Belgium, and has wasted no time making an impact.

With five goals and four assists in just 14 matches, Paintsil is exceeding expectations on the field.

But despite the high standards associated with a prestigious club like LA Galaxy, Paintsil insists he feels no added pressure. “When I heard the news, I was at the AFCON with the national team,” he told MLS. “I thought LA Galaxy was a great team and a great opportunity, but in my mind, I knew that’s where I wanted to go.”

This calm and collected approach seems to be working wonders for Paintsil, who is clearly focused on helping his new team achieve success.

He’s not consumed by external expectations, but rather driven by a personal desire to contribute to the Galaxy’s goals.
