The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, has hailed the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his good heart and wisdom, potent enough to calm storms and raging hearts.
The words of the revered Muslim leader in the country were conveyed by Sheikh Armiyau Shuaib, his spokesperson, during the fifth Akwasidae Festival on June 23, 2024.
The 105-year-old, who could not join any of the 25th Anniversary events of His Majesty, sent a delegation to represent him as well as his message to the King at the Manhyia Palace during the festival.
It was explained that his failure to make it to the anniversary celebrations was due to the death of his wife, Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu.
“He couldn’t join your anniversary because he was mourning his wife. So he chose today to come and extend his well wishes.”
The message conveyed by Sheikh Shuaib acknowledged the in-depth wisdom and good heart of the King.
“The Chief Imam has been following you all this while. We admire your wisdom, goodwill, and good heart which transcends Asanteman. Everyone is feeling your impact.
