Classroom Block Commissioned at St. Joseph R/C JHS, Kwabenafoso

A four-unit classroom block has been inaugurated at St. Joseph R/C JHS, Kwabenafoso, following reports by Adom News highlighting the need for improved teaching and learning facilities.

District Chief Executive (DCE) Faustina Amissah acknowledged that Adom News’ persistent reportage brought the issue to her attention, stating, “I learned about the issue due to the consistent and persistent reportage on the situation.” She noted that a severe storm had rendered the previous structure unusable, and praised Adom News for their role in prompting the construction of the new classroom block.

The DCE jokingly remarked that those who criticized her on social media should now appreciate the fruits of the reportage. She also urged the media to view the Assembly as partners and avoid exaggeration in their reporting.

Kwabena Owusu Nkatia, Obuasi East District Director of Education, and Bridget Atiemo Otoo, Headmistress of St. Joseph R/C JHS, expressed gratitude to the Assembly and Adom News for the new structure. They highlighted the need for additional educational infrastructure, citing overcrowding in classrooms and inadequate facilities. The headmistress appealed for a toilet facility and fence wall, as the school currently lacks these basic amenities.

The commissioning of the classroom block marks a significant improvement in the learning environment for students at St. Joseph R/C JHS.
