The Black Stars of Ghana will discover their opponents for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on July 4, 2024, when the draw takes place at the SuperSport Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The draw will feature 48 nations, including the four winners from the preliminary round: Chad, Eswatini, Liberia, and South Sudan, who have already secured their spots in the next phase of the competition.

The draw will be attended by selected CAF legends, representatives of the participating teams, and members of the Local Organising Committee for Morocco 2025. The event will be broadcast live on SuperSport and other CAF partner channels.
The qualifiers will be played in a round-robin format, with each team playing the other teams in their group twice. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the AFCON 2025 in Morocco, along with the best third-placed teams.
