Manchester United Set £40m Price Tag for Out-of-Favor Sancho

Story Highlights

  • United are looking to sell Sancho outright this summer
  • This decision comes amidst Financial Fair Play

Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain, with the club placing a £40m price tag on the winger.

Sancho’s relationship with manager Erik ten Hag soured last season, leading to a loan spell back at Borussia Dortmund. Despite impressing and reaching the Champions League final, it appears a permanent return is not on the cards.

United are looking to sell Sancho outright this summer, regardless of Ten Hag’s future. This decision comes amidst Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions that limit their transfer budget.

Dortmund, Sancho’s former club, are interested in another loan deal, but United are set on a permanent transfer to recoup some of the £73m they spent on Sancho in 2021.

With two years left on his contract, Sancho has attracted interest from other European clubs, with Juventus previously linked. Manchester United will be hoping to find a buyer willing to meet their asking price.
