Spain Finalizes Euro 24 Squad With Some Surprise Omissions
- Spain plays Northern Ireland in a final friendly on Saturday
- They are also in Group B with Italy and Albania
Young defender Pau Cubarsi (Barcelona, 17) and midfielders Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid) and Aleix Garcia (Girona) were cut from Spain’s final 26-man squad for Euro 2024 by coach Luis de la Fuente.
Ayoze Perez (Real Betis), who scored in his debut on Wednesday, makes the team alongside Premier League representatives Rodri (Manchester City), Marc Cucurella (Chelsea), and David Raya (Arsenal, on loan from Brentford).
