The Israeli military has launched a ground operation in the Bureij refugee camp and east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, targeting Hamas terrorists and infrastructure .
The operation has resulted in at least 70 deaths and 300 wounded, mostly women and children, according to Médecins Sans Frontières .
This comes as mediators meet to discuss a ceasefire and hostage release deal, with the US and Qatar awaiting responses from Hamas and Israel.
The conflict has killed over 36,000 in Gaza, with many displaced and seeking refuge in crowded areas
