The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has announced its collaboration with the government to acquire additional dialysis machines for public hospitals, enhancing kidney treatment services nationwide. According to NHIA Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Aboagye DaCosta, the authority is committed to ensuring basic healthcare for all, particularly for renal patients requiring dialysis.
On Monday, June 3, the NHIA launched its support program for kidney patients undergoing dialysis at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, a major tertiary hospital in Accra.
Dr. Aboagye DaCosta addressed journalists, revealing the government’s plan to sustain the support program nationwide, benefiting numerous renal patients. The program aims to provide comprehensive support to renal patients across the country, alleviating their financial burdens and improving their quality of life.
Dr. Aboagye DaCosta emphasized the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services, ensuring accessibility and affordability for all citizens.
