John Dramani Mahama, the 2024 presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reiterated his party’s determination to secure a decisive win in the upcoming December 7 elections.
Addressing mourners at the funeral of the Minister of Information, John Tia Akologo, in Duusi, Talensi District of the Upper East Region, Mahama emphasized that an NDC victory would be a win for Ghana as a whole, stressing the need for a reset in the country’s direction.
Mahama criticized the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, led by President Akufo-Addo, for plunging the country into crisis, and urged voters to support the NDC in the upcoming elections to initiate necessary reforms and address the nation’s challenges.
“We are determined to win this election. We are determined to win this election, not for ourselves and not for NDC, but we’re winning this election for Ghana,” Mahama said. “This election is between Ghana and the NPP, not NDC and NPP because we need to reset our nation. We need to rescue our nation from the crisis in which it has been plunged by the NPP administration.”
