Police have apprehended two individuals following a disturbance at the Ofaakor Electoral Commission Office near Kasoa in the Central Region.
The incident, which occurred early Sunday morning, stemmed from tensions arising from queuing procedures prior to the start of the day’s activities at the EC office, resulting in two injuries.
Law enforcement officials have reported that tranquility has been reinstated at the registration center.
The detained suspects, identified as Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunnor, Mustapha Mohammed, and Abdul Aziz Musah, were apprehended in a Honda CRV saloon car with license plate number GX-2044-19 in the vicinity of the EC Office at Ofaakor.
During the arrest, police seized a pump-action gun along with four rounds of ammunition from the vehicle. The suspects are currently being held to aid in ongoing police investigations.
