Effia Residents Praise MP Joseph Cudjoe After Winning Minister of the Year Award

Residents of Effia have praised their Member of Parliament, Joseph Cudjoe, for winning the Outstanding Public Leadership-Minister of the Year Award, Public Sector. They describe it as a well-deserved recognition of his efforts to promote economic development in the constituency and nationally.

Joseph Cudjoe received the award at the 8th Ghana CEO Summit in Accra, in recognition of his outstanding contributions and exemplary leadership. A citation for him read, “This is in recognition of your outstanding leadership, business excellence, and professionalism demonstrated over the past year in Ghana.”

For the past eight years, Joseph Cudjoe has worked tirelessly to develop the Effia constituency, with various infrastructure projects, including school blocks, recreational centers, roads, streetlights, water projects, and scholarships. These initiatives have significantly improved the lives of residents.

Radio stations in Sekondi-Takoradi received numerous calls from residents congratulating Joseph Cudjoe on his award. A resident of Windy Ridge expressed gratitude for the provision of potable water, which has solved a long-standing challenge.

Francisca Tandoh shared how Joseph Cudjoe supported her with school fees for her ward, who had gained university admission. She was impressed by his willingness to help others, as she saw many parents with similar requests being supported.

Ackah-Bonsu of Top Ridge praised Joseph Cudjoe for initiating the Astroturf pitch project, which has discovered talented football players. He also commended him for his exceptional work as a Member of Parliament.

Antwi-Boasiako, a resident of State Housing, acknowledged Joseph Cudjoe’s support for education and entrepreneurship, which has enabled many to start businesses beyond Sekondi-Takoradi.

Beyond his constituency work, Joseph Cudjoe has championed initiatives at the Ministry of Energy and Public Enterprises Ministry, leading to significant achievements. He initiated the Energy Sector Recovery Program and the Public Enterprises League Table, which ranks public enterprises’ performance.

As Minister for Public Enterprises, Joseph Cudjoe has worked to improve public enterprises’ performance and service delivery. He has visited over 50 public enterprises and led the inauguration of two key policies for managing the portfolio of public enterprises.

The CEO Excellence Award-Honors segment of the Summit acknowledges exceptional business practices, achievements, and leadership qualities. The Outstanding Public Leadership Award honors individuals who drive economic growth and make meaningful contributions to the overall economy.
