Professor George Gyan Baffour, Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), highlighted the significance of the framework.
He emphasized that Vision 2057 incorporates valuable lessons from past experiences while aligning with global commitments to sustainable development goals.

The development of Vision 2057 included a review of the “Ghana at 100 Vision.” The new framework goes beyond outlining goals; it strategically identifies where key development infrastructure should be placed to maximize benefits for the nation.
It also establishes a strategic direction for responding to potential emergencies in healthcare, agriculture, and other critical areas.
Flexibility for Future Generations
Vision 2057 acknowledges the dynamic nature of the world. Professor Baffour stressed that rigid, prescriptive plans are not suitable for the current environment.
This framework is designed to offer flexibility, allowing governments and future generations to adapt their visions and steer the nation towards prosperity.
