Voters Registration Exercise Extended by Two Days
- The Electoral Commission extends voter registration by two days to May 29, 2024
- The extension compensates for network issues that disrupted the process initially
- All eligible citizens are urged to register at their district offices
The Electoral Commission (EC) has officially declared an extension of the current Voters Registration Exercise by an additional two days.
Originally scheduled to end on May 27, the registration will now continue until Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
In a statement released by the EC, the decision was made as a solution to the network problems that interrupted the process in its initial days.
“This move is to compensate for the network issues encountered during the first two days of the Registration Exercise. The Commission’s goal is to ensure that all eligible voters who want to register have the chance to do so.
“We encourage all eligible citizens who have not yet registered to go to the Commission’s office in their district of residence to register for voting.”
