Ras Mubarak Rubbishes OSP Findings On Kumbungu ‘Ghost’ School
- The report highlighted discrepancies
- The discrepancies has sparked controversy
- Mubarak took to his Facebook page to dispute the claims
Ras Mohammed Mubarak, a former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu in the Northern Region, has expressed strong objections to the findings of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) regarding a payroll audit conducted in collaboration with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD).
The report highlighted discrepancies, including the alleged non-existence of DA Primary School in the Kumbungu District of the Ghana Education Service.
Mubarak took to his Facebook page to dispute the claims, labeling the findings as “very bizarre” and emphasizing that the Kumbungu D/A primary school has been operational for several decades.
He personally interacted with the school’s infrastructure during his tenure as MP and donated books and learning materials as far back as 2015.
Mubarak’s continued support for the school during his time in office underscores his direct connection to the institution, contradicting the report’s assertion that it does not exist.
The discrepancy between the Special Prosecutor’s findings and Mubarak’s personal knowledge has sparked controversy and raised questions about the thoroughness of the OSP and CAGD’s investigation.
As conflicting narratives emerge regarding the status of the Kumbungu D/A primary school, further scrutiny and clarification are necessary to reconcile the accounts presented by both parties.
