“I’m Exceedingly Proud of My Record in Office” – Akufo-Addo
- Multisector progress
- Transparent anti-corruption measures
- Legacy of enduring impact
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has voiced his deep satisfaction with his performance during his tenure, emphasizing his dedicated service to the nation despite facing various challenges.
His pride stems from the evident progress across multiple sectors including education, healthcare, infrastructure, transportation, and the ongoing battle against corruption.
In a recent statement, Akufo-Addo highlighted the transparent implementation of strategies aimed at tackling corruption and fostering national development.
He expressed confidence that his legacy will endure and be celebrated by future generations for its substantial impact.
“I’m exceedingly proud of my record in office and the considerable achievements that have been recorded in all sectors of national life these last seven and a half years, one or two of which have been very difficult as a result of global developments. Whether it is in the management of the national economy, education, healthcare, roads, railways, digitalization, infrastructural development, agricultural and industrial transformation, or the protection of Ghana’s territorial integrity and security.”
A video shared by Asaase Radio on their X page captured Akufo-Addo’s sentiments, where he reiterated the significance of his contributions to governance, environmental preservation, and the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, his recent remarks cautioning against electing John Dramani Mahama of the NDC in the forthcoming 2024 elections have drawn criticism, with some suggesting it could undermine the legacy he aims to leave behind.
