After months of anticipation, the final autopsy report on the late artiste Mohbad has left his cause of death undetermined, as revealed by a pathologist overseeing the examination.
Despite efforts to uncover the truth, significant decomposition had occurred by the time of the post-mortem examination, leaving the cause of death shrouded in mystery.
During a press briefing at the coroner’s inquiry in Lagos State, Mohbad’s family lawyer, Wahab Shittu, disclosed the pathologist’s findings. The delay in exhuming the body, according to the pathologist, contributed to the inability to pinpoint the exact cause of death.
Shittu emphasized the ambiguity surrounding the circumstances, highlighting the suspicion that arises when the cause of death cannot be determined definitively.
Furthermore, the pathologist suggested that Mohbad’s demise could potentially be linked to reactions from medication administered prior to his passing, though this remains uncertain.

The inquest, initially scheduled for a later date, has been postponed until June 11 to allow for further examination by forensic experts.
