A 31-year-old man, identified as Kwadwo Kyei Amani, has been reported missing after boarding a taxi from Bibiani to Sehwi Asawinso ‘A’ in the Western North Region.
A gold buyer from Sehwi Asawinso ‘A’, Amani vanished several days ago after supposedly heading for a medical checkup in Duayaw Nkwanta.
Amani’s absence has left his family distraught, particularly due to his physical disability, heightening concerns for his safety.
His wife, Abigail Afi, revealed that he had informed her of his intention to seek medical care in Duayaw Nkwanta before boarding the taxi.
According to accounts, Amani intended to meet a family member to collect money before returning home.
However, reports suggest that the taxi driver did not stop at the expected location and continued driving, leading to Amani’s mysterious disappearance.
With no sign of Amani since, his family has reported the incident to the police, initiating a search effort.
Isaac Oduro, the Committee Chairman for Sehwi Asawinso ‘A’, has confirmed that a search party has been dispatched to locate the missing individual.
