The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) officially launched the third edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogue (APD) in Accra, Ghana.
The 2025 edition, themed “Delivering Prosperity through Infrastructure: Invest- Integrate- Connect,” will take place from January 30th to February 1st, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
A Platform for Leaders and Action
This annual event serves as a premier platform for African business, political, and institutional leaders.
The focus will be on developing and implementing actionable plans to expedite the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Achieving a single market across Africa is seen as a critical driver of shared and sustainable prosperity for the continent’s 1.4 billion people.
Celebrating Progress and Looking Ahead
The event will culminate in a celebratory ceremony, the Africa Prosperity Champions Awards, at the Fantasy Dome on the third day.
Ghana’s Finance Minister Commends Organizers
Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, commended the APN for their unwavering commitment to Africa’s prosperity during the launch ceremony. He expressed his gratitude to the organizers, partners, and participants who have contributed to the event’s success. He emphasized the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in translating discussions into concrete actions.
“Africa’s journey to prosperity is a collective endeavor,” Dr. Adam said, “and each of us plays a pivotal role in shaping this trajectory. The launch of the third edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues serves as a timely platform to reaffirm our commitment to advancing prosperity and development across the continent.”
About the Africa Prosperity Dialogues
The APD has established itself as a vital platform for Africa’s private sector to collaborate and make crucial decisions for the continent’s rapid development. It fosters a strategic environment where African leaders can transform the continent’s economic integration goals from aspirations into concrete actions.
Held annually in Accra, the APD brings together diverse African leaders from various sectors. Their focus is on accelerating the implementation of agreed-upon initiatives within the AfCFTA framework and shaping the Africa Agenda for Action.
The APD tackles critical challenges and industrialization priorities facing the continent. It pushes for practical solutions, including commercial and infrastructural interventions, to achieve the vision of an “Africa Beyond Aid.”
