Ghanaian actress Patricia Opoku Agyeman, popularly known as Ahuofe Patri, has spoken out to clarify rumors surrounding her mental health. In an interview on May 9, 2024, Ahuofe Patri expressed her dismay at reports claiming she had opened up about struggling with depression, stating that she never used the word “depressed” to describe herself.
“There was a story that came out to say that I opened up about my depression, but I never said that. It gives me goosebumps talking about this because that word depression, is something I never used on myself,” she emphasized.
Ahuofe Patri lamented that people do not consider the impact of their words, saying, “I don’t think people think about the things they put out there for others to read. What bloggers put out there about me still baffles me.”
When asked why she didn’t refute the claims earlier, Ahuofe Patri explained, “I didn’t come out to refute their claims because it’s not important. I believe that whatever you give attention to is what is going to grow.”
