Ghana’s Foreign Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, announced a continued emphasis on economic diplomacy.

This strategy aims to strengthen international ties and promote sustainable growth.

Speaking at the launch of the Made-in-Ghana Bazaar in Accra, Ms. Botchwey explained how stronger economic ties can lead to prosperity and improved living standards for Ghanaians.

The Made-in-Ghana Bazaar, a key initiative of the Foreign Ministry, was launched in 2018.

It reflects the government’s commitment to supporting local businesses.

The Bazaar will leverage Ghana’s diplomatic network to open doors for Ghanaian products and services in foreign markets. Ms. Botchwey highlighted this as a key benefit for participants.

The event, themed “Promoting Made-in-Ghana Goods and Services for Economic Prosperity,” will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre from May 23rd to 25th, 2024.

Expecting a significant increase in attendance, Ms. Botchwey anticipates over 5,000 patrons this year, compared to the 200 exhibitors and 2,500 visitors from the previous edition.
