Nii Lante Vanderpuje, the Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo under the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has strongly criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, denouncing his leadership as chaotic and detrimental to the nation.
Vanderpuje asserted that rather than leaving behind a positive legacy, President Akufo-Addo owes the Ghanaian people an apology for the hardships they’ve endured under his administration. He went on to predict that history will judge Akufo-Addo as the poorest performing president in the country’s history.
“If I were Nana Addo, I would take the responsibility to apologize to the millions of Ghanaians who entrusted me with their votes, only to be profoundly let down. Nana Addo’s legacy will be remembered as the most dismal in the fourth republic of Ghana.
He is synonymous with corruption and has presided over the collapse of our economy. Today, Ghana’s economic state is at its lowest ebb. Is that the legacy he boasts of? Undoubtedly, John Mahama will step in to rectify these errors.”
He added, “The youth of this nation are yearning for a leader who will reverse the legacy of unemployment, despair, and despondency left by Akufo-Addo. Ghanaians will cast their votes for change, seeking someone who will erase this dark and shameful chapter from our history.”
President Akufo-Addo, on the other hand, cautioned Ghanaians against voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer in the upcoming December elections. He argued that electing the former President would jeopardize the progress achieved during his tenure, endangering the nation’s trajectory.
Addressing supporters during a mini rally in Doboro, Greater Accra region, subsequent to a visit to Blue Skies Limited, President Akufo-Addo voiced his backing for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the optimal presidential candidate.
