Real Madrid secured the La Liga title over the weekend, but celebrations were muted as their focus remains firmly on the Champions League final.

Their Spanish league victory came courtesy of a win over Cadiz, coupled with Barcelona’s defeat to Girona, which saw them lose second place.

However, defender Dani Carvajal emphasized the team’s unwavering dedication to the upcoming Champions League clash.

“We made the right decision not to celebrate,” Carvajal explained. “There’s a crucial Champions League game ahead, and we can celebrate later this week. We’re having a fantastic season, and the Champions League is incredibly exciting. We’re just two games away from lifting another trophy.”

The spirit of this determination is evident within the team and their fans. “The dressing room understands it,” Carvajal continued, “and the fans are cheering us on to achieve our dream of a 15th Champions League title.”

Despite a hard-fought 2-2 draw in the first leg away to Bayern Munich, with Vinicius Jr. scoring both goals, coach Carlo Ancelotti remains confident in his team’s ability to prevail.

“My confidence stems from the fact that this is Real Madrid,” Ancelotti declared. “We have a strong squad, and I trust our incredible fans who will be behind us.”

While acknowledging Bayern’s dominance in the first leg at the Allianz Arena, Ancelotti emphasized respect for their opponents. “Both teams share a rich history and immense success in the Champions League,” he said. “They played better than us in the first leg, and we respect them for that.”

Ancelotti also confirmed Andriy Lunin would retain his starting role in goal despite Thibaut Courtois’ return from injury and clean sheet performance over the weekend.
