Excitement is brewing in Tamale as the Aliu Mahama Stadium prepares to host the Northern Region leg of the GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human competition this Saturday.

Reks Brobby, founder and CEO of the project, assures everyone is ready for the big day. “We’re all set, the athletes are pumped, and it’s the first regional meet of the year,” Brobby said in an interview. “We’ve invested heavily to ensure a smooth kickoff, and huge thanks to our title sponsor GNPC, Adidas, and all our supporters.”

Athletes across various age groups will be vying for glory in the U-15, U-18, Seniors, and Veterans categories.

This initiative, launched over a decade ago, has a proven track record of reviving short-distance running in schools.

It’s served as a springboard for talented young Ghanaians who have gone on to represent the nation proudly on both local and international stages.
