Bawumia Believes God Can Utilize Him for Ghana’s Benefit

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, recently articulated his strong conviction that he can bring about positive change in Ghana, expressing his belief in divine guidance for this mission. Speaking during a meeting with the clergy in Takoradi on Thursday, May 2, as part of his Western regional campaign tour, Bawumia emphasized his faith in God’s plan for him to contribute to societal transformation.

“I believe that I can do something for Ghana. I believe God uses everybody that he wants to use to change the society… I believe that something good can come from Walewale and if God says that it should come from Walewale it will come from Walewale,” he stated, reflecting on his roots and upbringing.

In addition to his personal conviction, Bawumia called on the clergy to pray for politicians to prioritize national peace and development over personal gains. He stressed the importance of unity and collaboration among political leaders and religious institutions in addressing the country’s challenges.

Bawumia highlighted his respect for all religions and assured the clergy of his commitment to working closely with the church to tackle developmental issues. He emphasized the need for a holistic approach that involves both government initiatives and community-driven solutions to effectively address the nation’s pressing concerns.

During the interactive session, Bawumia engaged in discussions with religious leaders on various topics, including education, healthcare, and economic development. He reiterated his party’s commitment to implementing policies that promote inclusive growth and improve the quality of life for all Ghanaians.

Moreover, Bawumia underscored the significance of empowering local communities and fostering partnerships between government, religious institutions, and civil society organizations to drive sustainable development across the country.

In response, the clergy expressed appreciation for Bawumia’s outreach and his willingness to engage with religious leaders on matters of national importance. They pledged their support and prayers for peaceful elections and the successful implementation of policies aimed at advancing Ghana’s socio-economic prosperity.

The meeting served as a platform for dialogue and collaboration between political and religious leaders, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation in addressing the nation’s challenges.

Bawumia’s engagement with the clergy reflects his commitment to inclusive governance and his recognition of the vital role that religious institutions play in promoting social cohesion and community development.

As the election approaches, Bawumia’s campaign continues to focus on engaging with diverse stakeholders and presenting his vision for Ghana’s future. Through dialogue, partnership, and a shared commitment to progress, he aims to build a more prosperous and inclusive nation for all its citizens.
