Barcelona was punished by UEFA for the misbehavior of their fans during the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.
The punishment consists of two parts:
- Fine: The Spanish club will be fined 32,000 euros for racist behavior and lighting fireworks that caused damage at the stadium.
- Ticket Ban (Suspended): In addition to the fine, Barcelona received a one-year suspended ban on selling away tickets for their next UEFA competition match. This means the ban won’t be enforced unless they commit similar offenses within a year.
Barcelona also needs to contact Paris Saint-Germain within 30 days to cover the damages caused by their supporters.
