Two Boys Hanged On a Tree, Bathed With Cow Dung For Allegedly Stealing Bluetooth Player

A group of unidentified individuals in Wassa Ateiku, Western Region, reportedly subjected two 14-year-old boys to horrific treatment after accusing them of stealing a Bluetooth player and other mobile phone accessories.

The boys were allegedly tied to a tree, bathed in cow dung, and beaten with motto chains, canes, and electric cables by the enraged mob.

Sister Akos Florence, the mother of one of the victims, recounted waking up to the sounds of a commotion in the town around 3 am, but was unable to investigate further due to the late hour.

It was only in the morning that she discovered her son was missing from his room, and later learned of the brutal ordeal he and his friend had endured at the hands of the mob.

Philip Bontugu, the mobile phone seller who accused the boys of theft, reportedly led the mob to his residence where the barbaric incident took place.
