Henry Fitz, identified as the individual featured in a nude video alongside media figure Serwaa Amihere circulating on social media, has been formally charged, along with two others, for allegedly distributing the intimate footage online. This legal action follows a complaint filed by Serwaa Amihere herself.

As detailed in the court documents, Serwaa Amihere reportedly paid a ransom in an attempt to prevent the dissemination of the nude video, but despite receiving the requested amount of GH¢20,000, the accused individuals proceeded to share the video on social media platforms. They now face charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, specifically the unauthorized sharing of intimate content, which violates Section 23 (1) of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (Act 29) and Section 67 (1)(2) of the Cybersecurity Act 2020 (Act 1038).

Additionally, the accused are accused of extorting GH¢20,000 from Serwaa Amihere under threat of broadcasting the video on social media if she did not comply. The other individuals involved are named as Edem Saviour Ketti, described as a filmmaker, and Candylove Kwakyewaa Ababio, identified as a trader. Henry Amponsah, also known as Henry Fitz, is currently evading arrest, according to law enforcement.

The charges against the accused individuals include four counts related to conspiracy to share intimate images, non-consensual sharing of intimate content, and sexual extortion. The facts accompanying the charge sheet indicate that on December 3, 2023, Amihere’s makeup artist informed her of demands for GH¢5,000 to prevent the release of intimate pictures. This amount was requested to be sent to an MTN mobile money account registered under the name of Edem Saviour Ketti.

Subsequently, on April 2, 2024, another demand was made for GH¢20,000, threatening to publish the nude videos of Serwaa Amihere if not paid within a minute. Despite the ransom being paid, the images and videos were still shared on social media. Serwaa Amihere filed a complaint on April 3, 2024, leading to the arrest of Ketti.

During the investigation, Ketti admitted to using his Ghana Card to register the aforementioned MTN mobile money account and subsequently passed the number to Candylove, who then provided it to Fitz. The police are actively pursuing Fitz to face legal consequences.
