Police Detain Nine People In Connection With Fabricated Allegations Of Manhood Disappearance

Nine people have been taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service for spreading fake information about the supposed loss of their genitalia, which incited attacks on defenseless people and widespread dread and terror.
All of the assertions are baseless, according to police investigations and medical testing.
For making such fictitious allegations of missing genitals, six people have been arrested in Kasoa, in the Central Region; two in Ashaiman, in the Greater Accra Region; and one in Nkawkaw, in the Eastern Region.
Five are currently in court; two have been given bail, and three have been remanded into police custody.
The remaining individuals are awaiting court appearances while on police inquiry bail.
“It notes with concern this increasing trend of persons making false claims of the disappearance of their genitals and blaming innocent bystanders that sometimes lead to mob attacks,” the Ghana Police Service stated in a statement. We want to warn the public from engaging in criminal activity that could endanger innocent individuals and disrupt the tranquility in the community.”
