A repair vessel set sail on March 19th from Cape Town and is expected to reach the fault zone on March 29th. Repairs will begin immediately, aiming for completion within the next few weeks.

Unfortunately, users on the other three cables – ACE, WACS, and MainOne – will have to wait a bit longer. These cables require a collaborative effort. A separate repair vessel, deployed from London on March 24th, is expected to reach the first point of repair by April 8th. A full restoration for these cables is anticipated by May 9th, 2024.
