Jollof Derby: Nigeria Break Black Stars Jinx After 16 Years

The Nigeria Super Eagles defeated the Ghanaian Black Stars 2-1 in a friendly game on Friday. Goals scored in each half of the game helped the team win.

The first goal was scored by Cyril Dessers from a penalty kick, and the second goal was superbly finished by Ademola Lookman of Atalanta to seal the victory.

Ghana scored a late consolation goal through Jordan Ayew, even though they were reduced to 10 men. But the Super Eagles managed to hang on to their lead and prevail.

After defeating Ghana’s Black Stars, the 2023 African Cup of Nations finalists quickly became the most popular topics on social media.

This triumph was the Super Eagles’ first over their rivals from West Africa since 2006.
